Exploring the Divine Through Art: Family Theater's New YouTube Series

Good News: Family Theater Productions Unveils New YouTube Series, Creating Sacred Beauty
Family Theater Productions has launched a vibrant new digital series, Creating Sacred Beauty, on its YouTube channel, just in time for Pope Francis' 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope, including his special Jubilee for Artists in February 2025. This series delves into the faith, creativity, and craftsmanship behind sacred works of art, exploring how art moves and inspires us, regardless of our background, beliefs, or personal preferences. It also highlights how Catholic sacred art elevates our minds toward the divine as we seek both beauty and meaning.
Hosted by Katia Villanueva, Creating Sacred Beauty focuses on the unique intersection of faith and artistry, featuring interviews with Catholic artisans who share how their spiritual beliefs shape their creative processes. The series showcases a variety of artists, including painter Lalo Garcia, author Lisa Hendey, stained-glass artist David Judson, liturgical-furnishings builder Jefferson Tortorelli, graphic artist and animator Ximena Palencia, and singer/musical director Bryan Roach.
Series producer Alan Hewitt shared, "Hearing the stories of artists who specialize in sacred art has been incredibly inspiring. It has opened my eyes to the world of artisans behind religious masterpieces. Each artist brings their unique passion to an art form that points beyond themselves. Seeing their enthusiasm and joy in their work has been a true gift, and I’m excited to share that with others through this series."
Reverend David L. Guffey, C.S.C., National Director of Family Theater Productions, commented, “Just as past generations were spiritually moved by the creative expressions of artists, I hope this series will show how the Spirit continues to work through artists today, inspiring beautiful works for people to experience and reflect upon.”
Creating Sacred Beauty invites viewers to discover how sacred art transcends the ordinary, offering a deeper connection to the divine through the hands of those who create it.

Zendaya and Tom Holland Take Their Love to the Next Level: Engagement Ring Revealed at Golden Globes

The big question at Sunday’s Golden Globes was: Are Zendaya and Tom Holland engaged? According to reports, the answer is yes.
The 28-year-old actress fueled engagement rumors when she was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand. Inside the Beverly Hilton ballroom, Zendaya made no effort to hide the ring, even showing it off to friends, including The Bear star Ayo Edebiri.
TMZ, the first to break the news, reported that Holland proposed during the holiday season at one of Zendaya’s homes in a “very intimate setting.” The couple, who have been together since at least 2021, was later confirmed to be engaged by People magazine.
At the Golden Globes, Zendaya was dressed in Bulgari jewelry, but no mention was made of the sparkling ring on her left hand. People magazine speculated that the ring might be a 5.02-carat Jessica McCormack diamond, featuring a Georgian-style cut set in 18k white-and-yellow gold, listed on the designer’s website under engagement rings.
While Bulgari posted about actress-filmmaker Zoë Kravitz wearing its jewelry to the Globes, Zendaya's ring went uncredited. A rep for Zendaya did not immediately comment, and Yahoo Entertainment’s inquiry to the designer went unanswered.
During the ceremony, Los Angeles Times reporter Amy Kaufman, who is also newly engaged, had a playful exchange with Zendaya. Kaufman recounted, “As Zendaya exited the ballroom, I held up my own left hand, pointing to my engagement ring. In response, Zendaya flashed her own bling and did a playful ‘jazz-fingers’ gesture.”
