Stars & Strangers: Bridging Celeb Life with Everyday Perspectives

In the same lush, softly lit studio where the Beach Boys recorded “Pet Sounds” nearly 60 years ago, the hosts of the podcast “Podcrushed” prepare to interview Chase Stokes, star of Netflix's “Outer Banks.” Hosts Nava Kavelin, Sophie Ansari, and Penn Badgley adjust their equipment as videographers fine-tune their cameras and an engineer tweaks the sound. Stokes, with his publicist (also named Chase) by his side, admits it’s his first podcast: “You’re taking my podcast virginity,” he jokes. Badgley, known from “Gossip Girl” and “You,” reassures him that the longform style is surprisingly enjoyable.

In a crowded field of celebrity-interview podcasts, “Podcrushed” offers a unique twist by focusing on the awkward, emotional experiences of adolescence. While many shows lean into superficial intimacy, “Podcrushed” delves into tween triumphs and traumas, exploring the softer, more vulnerable moments behind adult façades, making each conversation unexpectedly heartfelt.

Eternal Icon: Audrey Hepburn’s Beauty Routine, as Told by Vogue

Source: IMDb

Audrey Hepburn, renowned movie star and philanthropist, was known for her signature doe eyes, flawless skin, and coral lips. The mastermind behind her iconic look was makeup artist Alberto de Rossi, who also worked with legends like Elizabeth Taylor and Ava Gardner. Though de Rossi passed in 1975, his artistry lives on in classic films like War and Peace and Cleopatra.

Makeup artist Erin Parsons recently rediscovered a 1972 Vogue interview where de Rossi recalled working with Hepburn, starting with Roman Holiday. “Women have always wanted to imitate her—and they always will,” he remarked. De Rossi’s routine began simply, using soap and water to cleanse the skin—something he suggested customizing for dryness, much like today’s Dove moisturizing soap. Then, with a red bandana holding back his hair, he would open his Louis Vuitton case and bring Hepburn’s timeless beauty to life.

Jennifer Aniston Confirms: The Rumors Were True All Along

Source: PureWow

In 2023, pop culture saw notable events, including the losses of Matthew Perry, Lisa Jennifer Aniston isn’t shy about addressing rumors—like confirming she really does get salmon sperm facials. Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week to promote her new children’s book, Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life, the 55-year-old actress also teased season four of The Morning Show before diving into a playful game of rumor debunking.

At one point, Aniston shared how a scene involving oil splashing her character led to confusion, with fans flooding her with concerned messages. Later, Kimmel brought up a wild tabloid rumor claiming she’s secretly dating Barack Obama, which Aniston found amusing rather than annoying. While that rumor was false, she confirmed that the quirky facial treatment is real, joking, “Don’t I have beautiful salmon skin?”
