John Legend and Chrissy Teigen's daughter Luna took on the role of journalist when she interviewed her dad about his new children’s album, My Favorite Dream.
In a sweet video shared by Billboard on December 26, Luna, 8, dressed in a light blue outfit, sat across from her dad holding question cards that were almost as big as her head. The interview focused on Legend's new album but was filled with heartwarming moments between the father-daughter pair.
Legend shared with Luna that his favorite song from My Favorite Dream, released in August, is "Always Come Back." "I wrote it for you guys," he said, addressing his family. "I have to travel a lot for work, and mommy has to go away sometimes, but we've always told you since you were a baby that mommy and daddy always come back."
He explained the emotional significance of the song, recalling how he wrote it on the day he was about to leave for a trip. "I played it for you guys, and it will always have that sentimental feeling."
In a cute moment, Luna set aside the cue cards and asked, "Are you talking about the time you left for two weeks?"
Legend responded with a laugh, saying, "Maybe," and added that he tries not to be away for longer than that because it feels like "so long." He admitted it’s tough to leave his family but that the song provides him comfort during those times.
