Kamala Harris and Celebrity Endorsements: Did She Pay for Support? Oprah Weighs In

Source: Newsweek
Kamala Harris's campaign has come under fire amid allegations that it spent millions on celebrity endorsements. A politically right-leaning account on X (formerly Twitter) claimed the Harris campaign allocated $20 million to secure celebrity support, allegedly including stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Eminem, and Oprah Winfrey.
Since Donald Trump's decisive win over the Democratic nominee in last Tuesday's election, similar claims have circulated online. Winfrey, who attended Harris’s final rally in Philadelphia, denied the allegations, telling TMZ on Monday, “Not true. I was paid nothing, ever.”
The claim was widely covered, including by outlets such as the Washington Examiner and Fox News. Online, further rumors suggested Beyoncé received $10 million to perform at a Harris rally in Houston. However, both FactCheck.org and PolitiFact debunked these claims, with a Harris campaign official and Beyoncé’s publicist calling them “beyond ridiculous.”
Two $500,000 payments to Winfrey’s production company, Harpo Productions Inc., appeared on the Harris campaign’s disbursements to the Federal Election Committee marked as "event production," though the exact purpose remains unclear. Expenses like travel and event production are common at rallies and don’t necessarily equate to direct celebrity payments.
The scrutiny over Harris’s celebrity endorsements comes as her campaign faces criticism for reportedly spending around $1 billion on the election and ending with $20 million in debt. Some, including Trump supporters Joe Rogan and Elon Musk, argued that Harris’s association with Hollywood may have distanced her from voters focused on issues like the economy.

The New Era of Beauty Treatments: Salmon DNA, Exosome Therapy, and What You Need to Know

Source: Face Med Store
Imagine the hope you place in your favorite moisturizer—now, consider the possibility of achieving those dreams by injecting salmon DNA, or polynucleotides, directly into your skin. This trend, popularized by beauty icons like Kim Kardashian, involves purifying DNA fragments from salmon and injecting them to boost collagen production, essential for youthful skin. Although these injections aren’t FDA-approved in the U.S., they’re gaining popularity in the U.K. and South Korea, with fans raving about their subtle, natural results. Unlike fillers or Botox, polynucleotides work with the skin’s natural structure, adding hydration, enhancing radiance, and supporting tissue regeneration. London’s Soni Clinic reports them as a top treatment after Botox, and dermatologists love their understated effect, especially for the delicate under-eye area. The results last six to seven months, making salmon DNA an intriguing new player in collagen-stimulating skincare.

Chloe Fineman Reveals: Elon Musk Made SNL Cast Members Cry

Source: Deadline
Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman has responded to Elon Musk's recent criticism of the show, revealing that he was the only host who ever made her and other cast members cry. According to Fineman, Musk, who hosted in May 2021, was tough on the cast, disliking their ideas—a claim supported by her costar Bowen Yang, who previously mentioned an unnamed host who had made several cast members emotional by rejecting their contributions. In a now-deleted TikTok, Fineman addressed Musk’s recent jab at the show’s longevity and his dismissal of Dana Carvey’s impression of him, saying, “I’m going to come out and say I’m the cast member he made cry … if you’re going to use your platform to be rude.”
