Simmons’ Kin Fires Back at Shore’s Statements Amid Biopic Development

Weeks after Richard Simmons' death, his family is clashing with actor Pauly Shore over a planned biopic. Shore had announced he was in talks to star in the film, but Simmons had previously denied giving any approval.

Simmons addressed the situation on social media in January, stating he never authorized the movie and urging fans not to believe the claims. Despite this, Shore plans to move forward with the project, questioning the authenticity of Simmons' posts.

Simmons’ staff and brother, Lenny, have confirmed the posts were genuine and that Simmons had no direct communication with Shore about the film. Shore’s biopic plans follow his short film, "The Court Jester," which premiered at Sundance.
